A wildly popular but sometimes hard-to-find heirloom, the Tendersweet Orange variety is an oblong striped melon that can grow up to 35 - 40 pounds and 18 - 20 inches long. It is an excellent melon with a juicy, bright orange and very sweet flavor. One 12-foot vine can produce 5–7 melons or 2–3 extra large ones.  Orange watermelon varieties are more ancient than their pink and red counterparts.

Melons are a rich source of potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C, as well as potassium and fiber.

Melons need good pollination to ensure that you have ample fruit set. Plant with lots of herbs and flowers to bring in pollinators.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
