Sugar Baby is an heirloom variety, introduced in 1956, that has remained popular because of its compact size and sweet flavor. Growing to around 8 inches in diameter and weighing 8 pounds, it's small enough to fit in the refrigerator and considered an icebox type.
Melons are a rich source of potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C, as well as potassium and fiber.
Melons need good pollination to ensure that you have ample fruit set. Plant with lots of herbs and flowers to bring in pollinators.
