The Metki Dark Green Cucumber is a rare, ancient heirloom from Armenia, also known as Snake or Serpent cucumber. It is commonly grown in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions.  They are botanically melons but have the characteristics of cucumbers.

Metki cucumbers can grow 36 inches long but are most flavorful when 12 - 18 inches long. They have ridged, thin skin that doesn't need to be peeled. Heavy vines need a trellis.

Corn, lettuce, greens, peas, beans, radishes, onions, dill, carrots, beets, borage, and flowers are all beneficial companions. Don't plant cucumbers near potatoes, squash, or gourds.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
