This sweet and smoky Italian old heirloom pepper is highly prized and used throughout Italy for its flavor and versatility. Huge peppers ranging from 8-12 inches long are excellent roasted, stuffed, or grilled. Freeze whole, uncut peppers to stuff or grill later.

Compact, 2-foot tall plants produce high yields of green peppers that can be picked early or later when bright red for maximum sweetness. Continue to harvest peppers throughout the season to encourage production, and you'll be picking until the first hard frost.

Carrots, cucumbers, radishes, squash, spinach, chard, lettuce, and Allium family members do well when grown near peppers. Avoid planting peppers near cabbage and brassicas.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
