The Indian Snake variety originated in the ancient Himalayan region. Emperors used them to make cooling and refreshing drinks during the hot summers.

This rare variety can grow 4 feet long but is most flavorful when 12 - 18 inches. They have a thin skin that doesn't need to be peeled and are delicious raw or pickled.  They're bigger, less bitter than the Armenian cucumber, and a fun plant to grow.  Heavy vines need a trellis.

Corn, lettuce, greens, peas, beans, radishes, onions, dill, carrots, beets, borage, and flowers are all beneficial companions. Don't plant cucumbers near potatoes, squash, or gourds.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
